Right now we’re going to change the throttle position sensor on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The throttle position sensor is right back here by the intake. It’s this little mechanism right there.
To get it off there are two screws;one on here and one on the other side. Andthe actual bit that you need to take it off looks like this. It’s not one of those regular, 30 Cute And Clever Ways To Decorate For Thanksgiving you know, not one of your regular heads. I have this one marked down as a T20. And thatis how you do it. So I’m going to go take it off and then I’ll show you how to putthe other one on. Ok so we got the other sensor off.
This is the new one. When you put it on you want to make sure that you don’t adjust the…like you don’t move the airintake part of it. You want to slip it on just enough so that it doesn’t actuallyadjust anything. So you want it to, like you know the little thing that’s inside of thisthat lets the air in and out? You don’t want to move that when you put this on. Soit should go on really easily and just barely, like it sits just like that; where you canfeel there’s a little bit of play in it but it’s going to sit there and not adjust I Want To Be A Sofa . My Weird Addiction anything until you actually turn the car on.
So once you do that you just put the screwsback in, clip it in and you’re good to go. That’s how to install a throttle positionsensor.
