Okay so today we’re going to install a Spit Fire Windscreen on a motorcycle. Basically it comes with the mounting hardware and the windshield itself.Hi I’m Larin Parker for Expert Village. We’re talking about cleaning out some of the dust and dirty that … And then put this washer on this. Stick this through the windshield…put this on after that…and then screw this onto theend. You can kind of see over here on this one. I have the plastic piece, the washer, the windshield, the other washer, the black piece.
And that holds this part in. So once I have it all screwed on, then I can put this through that little hole and thentighten this. And that holds it all in one spot. You can see I have that screwed into the shield right here.
Then it’s got the bars going down. Normally it’s got this little connector right here that will sit…this part willclamp onto the bar right here. Then you screw this bolt down to tighten it. One this particular bike though, these bars are too big. So what I had to do is I ended up getting a piece of conduit…a conduit hanger, andit clamps on over the bars and this just clamps around that. So you can kind of see how that works. And I put this little piece of rubber stripping in there to kind of protect the chrome onthe bike.
So that’s the piece that I bought. Anyway so that looks like it’s going to hold on really well. So I just need to grab another one for the other side and we’re good to go. So one nice thing about this windshield is that if you just unscrew these right hereand pop this out, these two bars come up off the top so you can literally take the windshieldoff in probably 30 seconds. There you go. It’s got both of those hangers on it right now. It’s pretty solid.
I’ll probably take off that red sticker on the bottom as well.
