Hey I’m Ann and today we are going to talk about contrasting your furniture andyour accessories. I’m a decorator and I specifically work with what is already in the house, whatthe home owner already has.
One of the things that people do not think about is a lot oftimes I will go into a room and I’ll see a brass lamp with a brass planter with a brassmirror or a gold mirror or I’ll see a glass vase with a glass candle holder and they don’tmix it up and the more you mix it up and you mix your materials up the more interesting 80 IKEA Studio Apartment Ideas it is because if you see the same thing after a while it gets boring so what you want todo is always put energy into your eye and always kind of mix things up. This tray is just one example of I have a sterling silver tray and then and I just let it go, I letit tarnish and to me it looks older and it adds more character. Then I have a round woodbox on it and then I have a very old kind of chipped concrete bird and it just showsall the different contrasts you can use. Over here on the table I have a black table with a lamp with a round wood bowl and then a round small bowl and what I would do to me I don’tlike the two rounds together because again why not put another contrasting shape in there ULINE’s polypropylene strapping is flexible and economical, ideal for securing light to medium duty loads… which will make it look better so I’ll take away the round and I’ll just pop it with alittle bit of color. This plant could probably use a little bit of love so I have interjectedsome color and then also I’ve put in a different shape and I would probably do one other thing so I might just get a even a little glass knob out and put it there and I have justa little vignette of some different shapes and colors. This is Ann and that ishow to contrast your furniture and your accessories.
