bundys garage bundy here today we are workingon a 2011 hyundai elantra we’re going to bechanging out the rear brake lightunderneath these 3 covers there are 3 10 mmbolts that are here you could also use a #2philips scredriver to get these bolts out Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this article clip I will be talking about electrical safe… you have to remove all 3 bolts to get the reartail light out so go ahead take these 3 bolts out once you havethe bolts out on the left side of the reartaillight it will be loose but on the right handside there are 2 pushpins it looks like little tabsthat go into a clip on the inside on the vehiclei’ll show you that in a secondas you can see it’s still stuck on the still stuck 2 D. I. Y. home decor ideas made out of buttons in there so we’re going to grab a screwdriverand a rag we’re going to put the rag on the paint so we don’t scratch the paint when we use thescrewdriver we’re just sticking it in there alittle bit pry it loose and it’s a tab thatactually holds this that holds this light inon the right hand side this is being done on thepassengers side it’ll be the same procedure forthe driver’s side just know the tabs are on theoutside of the vehicle we’re putting the rag inthere and popping it loose in a second here wewill show you the two tabs that actually holdthis light on so even though you have the3bolts out it will still feel like the lightis attached because of these tabs so the tabsget inserted right there where we pointedhere we will get a btter shot ofit here in a second there’s one of the tabswe’ll swing over hereyou can see that tab gets inserted into the bodyof the vehicleand then the other one down there as wellso even though you might take all 3 bolts outthe light will fell like it’s still being held inyou just need to pop those tabs outnow we’re changing out the brake lampyou just screw it outputting the new bulb in once you have thatbulb in place you actually just screw thelight housing into placeit’s a good idea to check double checkthat the brake lamp is working before youput everything back but it’s not that big of adeal if you don’t because it’s a pretty easy jobto get to the brake lamp on this elantraonce you get there go ahead and give it a couplelove tabs on the top and on the bottomput the 3 screws back in place the 3 10mmscrewslike i said earlier you can use a number 2philipsscrewdriver to get those out as wellbut they are 10mmso getting the last 10mm in thereand then we will double check the function ofthe brake light
